FOOTDISTRICT Rumble
AN EXPERIENCE WITH ADIDAS
TO UNITE COMMUNITIES THROUGH BOXING
Segundo Espacio, FOOTDISTRICT’s space for new experiences, hosted a celebration of the connection between boxing and Barcelona, with adidas as a style icon. An evening where every corner paid tribute to different aspects of boxing.
FOOTDISTRICT RUMBLE was created as an experience by FOOTDISTRICT and adidas, drawing from boxing’s stylistic and cultural influence as well as its forward-looking potential. Narrated by its own protagonists, the objects that accompanied it, and the universes built around the sport of the «sweet science,» the activity took place at Segundo Espacio, a venue designed by FOOTDISTRICT to foster collaboration and dialogue across artistic disciplines, social groups, generations, and all those who share our values.
Spaces and activities came together to create a perfect evening for connecting different communities tied to music, art, performance, craftsmanship, and, of course, boxing.
Museum
Boxing arrived in Spain through the port of Barcelona. Its evolution as a social agitator in emerging communities and as a mass phenomenon was showcased in a selection of items that told its story—highlighting legendary bouts at Gran Price, its influence on cinema, culture, and fashion. This era saw the rise of the first boxing clubs and specialized gyms, with Barcelona hosting international matches.

Rumble Sessions
The legacy and future of boxing were discussed with some of the sport’s key figures in Barcelona. Paco Chaparro served as master of ceremonies in a ring where guests included Jordi Yeste, Spanish and European champion Tania Álvarez, and her trainer and mentor, Toni Moreno.

Music
A DJ set by Jokkoo Collective, a Barcelona-based group that shares the sonic heritage of the African diaspora and its connection to electronic music.

The essence of boxing as a creator of style, perfectly embodied by adidas, personalization, and its ability to bring together diverse communities—all came together in a Barcelona evening that reminded us of the evolution of a sport often regarded as the noble art.
