The event began with a guided route through local galleries, followed by an exhibition, a roundtable discussion, and a gastronomic happening all within the context of Segundo Espacio, a place for creativity and reflection created by FOOTDISTRICT.
The first part of the action featured the collective Mango and Okra, presenting The table as a place of connection, belonging, and care — a ritual and gastronomic experience that celebrated cooking as a form of cultural, political, and ecological resistance. Through sancocho, an Afro-Caribbean stew rich with diasporic memory, culinary heritage, and intergenerational encounters, participants shared a space of imagination, affection, and community — bringing together generations and cultures around the table.

The exhibition, on view until April 4, showcases six artists: Anna Irina Russell, Lena Laguna, Sejal Parekh, Cristina Spinelli, and Oscar Moya. Through sculpture, installation, objects, textiles, and sensory activations, their works explore what it means to inhabit the city’s fabrics through listening, gestures, and memory. Their pieces unfold shared memories and sensitive materials, inviting reflection on Ciutat Vella and Segundo Espacio itself as living organisms.

The exhibition is open to the public at Segundo Espacio (Carrer de Sant Pere Més Baix, 96, Barcelona) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. until April 4.
Habitar Teixits is a proposal that celebrates the connection between emerging art, community, and neighborhood — an invitation to imagine new forms of connection through the stories, gestures, and materials that shape our surroundings.
