The Sound of the Original: Creaci贸n libre a 3 bandas kicks off at Segundo Espacio
Last Thursday, we opened the door to an initiative that will accompany us over the coming months and now has a dedicated space at FOOTDISTRICT Barcelona. An event connected to the adidas Superstar and its ability to evolve within music.
We celebrated El Umbral at Segundo Espacio, the first chapter of The Sound of the Original: Creaci贸n libre a 3 bandas, a project created alongside adidas Originals to delve into the music-making process from within. We did so surrounded by community, creativity, and a space infused with rhythm and style in every corner.
Segundo Espacio is a concept created by FOOTDISTRICT a place where ideas, communities, and generations meet. The perfect setting for an initiative that places artistic creation at its core, explored through different lenses.
The event brought together the three bands leading the project Delaf茅 y Las Flores Azules, Mourn, and Carlota Fl芒neur in a conversation hosted by Johann Wald, where we delved into each artist鈥檚 personal world, their references, memories, and how each chapter of the adidas Superstar connects to their sound.
To host this journey, we transformed Segundo Espacio into a place where everything can begin: a mini recording studio, a conversation lounge, a vinyl corner to explore, and a scenography that traces the visual timeline of the Superstar. from the courts where it was born, to the asphalt where it evolved, to the streets where it became a countercultural icon.
There was music, familiar faces, new connections, and an atmosphere that鈥檚 hard to describe unless you were there. But this is just the beginning: in the coming weeks, we鈥檒l follow each artist鈥檚 creative process from the inside until the final chapter.
